‘Jam Room’ at Lumsden
Enrol Here24th of June 2011
The children have shown a huge interest in Piano Wizard, and have also been requesting instruments to play during the session, so we decided to set up a ‘Jam Room’ in the family area. Children were encouraged to bring any instruments that they have from home so we could all jam together!
For the children that may not have had instruments to bring into Lumsden, we have plenty to spare, so everyone could join in on our JAM!
We even had some very keen parents and grandparents who came to have a ‘jam’ with us too. We all had so much fun!
Come and have a look at our photos and movies of our Jam Sessions.
What a wonderful time we have had in the Lumsden Jam Room, exploring the many elements of music such as beat, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, pitch and tone. It has been lovely to see how many musical parents and children we have at Lumsden. Children’s sense of belonging is reinforced through participating in music of the kindergarten community. This is especially important for younger children with settling. Children might also discover different ways to communicate through music.
A lot of children have enjoyed using the music room. Thank you to parents for your support.
